| Why can I not see the site
in my full monitor screen?
Your computer may have opened the site into a small window. All
you need to do is go to the top colored bar and click the middle box on
the right corner. This opens any site that does this into a full
screen view. To restore to small screen, click it again and it
will reduce. To put it out of sight while you do something else,
click the box with the "_" line. To close the site
completely, click the "x" box.

|
| Why do I have to scroll
left and right to see the whole site even if it is full screen?
Your computer may be set at a low resolution. This site
is best viewed at 800X600 or higher resolution. You can change the
settings on your monitor display by getting into the Control
Panel. If this is not the case, you may have a very small monitor
that doesn't allow space for the resolution.

|
| Why is the
layout not centered properly?
Most of the pages in this site are set to
default to the left side of the screen. If some graphics are off center, your
computer may be set at a low resolution. This site is best viewed
at 800X600 or higher resolution. You can change the settings on
your monitor display by getting into the Control Panel.

| What
is a LINK, and how do I find one? Any words or text that you
see with an underline under it should take you to a different part of a
page, a different page in the Web site, or a connection to a site outside
of this Web site. This last link is called an external link, and the
present site has no control over it or its contents except for the
linking that was made to it. Also, if you "mouse" over a
picture or object and see a "little hand" appear, you are on a
LINK. If your mouse pointer points to words that change color,
you have a link. Sometimes there will be verbal instructions how to find the
link.

|
| What
is a Site Map? This is a page that lists all the
major pages and important links that are found on them and gives you
links to those points to help you learn where to find things on the
website.

|
| Why could I
not find this website when I did a Web Search? There are
many search engines that pick up Web sites. Each has its own
criteria for what it will display. This site may not meet the criteria
or is too new and has not been visited by the "web crawlers"
that find Webs to add to their searches. Also, the titles or
"meta tags" being used for this site may not be accepted by a
particular search engine. There are some search engines that
charge a fee, and this site does not pay for pickups on those engines.

|
| Why do some of the links open
into another window that is smaller, and how do I make it full screen?
The link may be directed to open a new window so that the old one stays
behind it. This is done to help people return to where
they started. All you need to do to make it full screen is to
click the middle box in the upper right hand corner of the window.

|
| Why, when I clicked the
close out button, did the church Web site
disappear? You may have closed the main page of the
site you were viewing. This often happens when you have several
new window links open, and you have forgot what the main page was that you
had opened. Also, the page may be misdirected so that the church
site did not stay behind the page you opened. You will have to go back to the beginning address to open
the Web site again. This is a VERY GOOD REASON for saving a good site to
"Favorites" so you can find it quickly again if you have
forgot the Web address.

Why will some links to outside sites not open or I get a message this site is blocked? If you have recently installed MS Service Pack2 or some software that blocks pop-ups, you may you may not be able to view some sites. You can unblock these, if you wish. With MS blocker, click the "blocked pop-up" button on the menu bar and check that you want to allow that particular site to open. If you have other software blockers, check instructions about methods for "unblocking" particular sites. It is unfortunate that this is necessary, but so many people have taken advantage of the "pop-up" method to get their messages out when you do not want this intrusion. Now the blocking software sometimes blocks thinks you want to see anyway.

| Why
can I not hear any audio on my computer? Check
first to see if you have speakers connected to your computer. If
so, is the volume turned up high enough? If so, it may be an audio
site that takes a long time to load, so just be patient. If it
never comes on, you may not have on your computer or have not selected the
correct program that plays the audio. Most sites have free
downloads, and this Website has external links to two of the most common players to
download, Windows Media and Real One Player. Be aware when downloading anything, including an audio
player, that there are other things that download with the program
including possible viruses. If you have a good virus protector on
your computer be sure it is updated before downloading. Also, if
other programs or advertising are downloaded with the free program you
can delete these or refuse to take any offers. If you must give a
credit card number to download any program, be aware that you may have
to actively cancel the suggested programs that are being sold or you may
find charges you had not planned on having. Most Free Downloads
are safe if you are careful what you are downloading and follow
instructions that are given for cancellations.

|
| Why
does my audio pause or stop?
Radio programs and
music clips take a lot of computer space to run well. You may have
a very slow acting computer or you may have too many software programs
that have overloaded your computer space. You may have a very slow
connection to your Internet Service Provider. High speed
connections are just starting to become popular and are not yet
available in some areas of the country. You will probably
have some of these audio problems even if your computer is fast.
Sometimes there are just problems at the other end, too. This is a
common problem so don't get too concerned.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why did the music
stop playing on the page I was viewing?
The page
may have a value on it that allows for music to play for a given period of
time or a number of times.

Why
does my Windows Media play as
default for some or all my audio files after installing Real One
Player? You
probably told Real One to be your default for all files. To return certain
files as default for Windows Media Player, click Tools and Options. Click
on the File Types tab. Place a check in the box next to the file extension
of all the files types (such as MP3) that you want Windows Media Player to
play by default. Then click Apply and OK. If all else fails, uninstall
Real One Player and be sure to uncheck the box that asks to make it your
default player.

| What
are "cookies"?
These are
small
files that Web sites on the Internet create and maintain on your
computer. Cookies can store basic information about you such as your
name, your e-mail address, the date you last visited the site and whether
or not you are logged in to the site. Many web sites use the information
stored in cookies to personalize your experience with their web site, by
greeting you by name or remembering what state you live in. You
get these when you download information or programs or are using
interactive sites. They are usually harmless and can be deleted if
you do it through your control panel or go to Tools, then Internet
Options and "delete cookies."

|
| Why do I see
an "x" in the place where there is supposed to be a
picture or button? Probably because the Webmaster
"goofed" and deleted something that had a connection to the
picture or object. If this happens on this Web site,
E-mail your
webmaster about such a finding so the problem can be fixed.
Give the page name you were on where you found the problem.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why did I click on a link,
and it did not go anywhere or went to
the wrong place? Probably the Webmaster "goofed"
and did not direct the link to the right place. If this happens on
this site, E-mail
your Webmaster and tell what link was not working properly.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why can
I not get the links at the top of my index page to work?
Either the page is not linked properly or you may have a browser that
does not support frames. Some Web sites open with a full page, but it
then connects to framed pages. If this happens, the Webmaster has put
some alternative links at the bottom of each page that should connect
you to most everything on the site. If there are no links, you may
be in a window page that requires that you click the "x"
button in the upper right hand corner to close because it only goes back
to the original page.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why did I lose
the links at the top of a page I returned to? It
could simply be that you are on a page that has no top menu if the Web
site uses frames. You
can usually get back to the page on which you started by clicking the
Internet BACK ARROW or clicking the "x" in the upper right
hand corner of the page you are on. Sometimes with famed pages it
is difficult to get all the links directed properly. If this
happens you may find a link that takes you to a portal page, which takes
you back to a page that precedes the Home Page and leads you back to the
beginning of the site.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why do I see
two sets of Menu Links at the top of the page? The Webmaster
"goofed" in getting the links hooked up properly on a frame
page. E-mail
your Webmaster and tell how you clicked into this, if you
remember. Since all the links are intertwined, you may do
something that the Webmaster has failed to test and did not see the
problem. Or it may just be a bad set of links.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| Why did I get an error
message that says "This Page Cannot Be Displayed"?
There could be several reasons. You may not be still connected to
the Internet. Or you may be on an external link, one outside of
this site, and your server or their server may not be working
properly. It could be that the link is directed at a site that no
longer exists or has changed location. It could possibly be that
the Webmaster "goofed" and didn't get the right address to the
site you wanted. If this error persists on this site,
contact
the Webmaster about it so it can be investigated.
Return to the top of the page.
|
| What do I do if I find that a link I clicked on opens a site that is not family friendly? You may have been on an external link that is not under control of the church's Webmaster or the original linked site has changed content for some reason. Immediately contact the Web administrator or the church office and tell what site you found this on and try to remember the original link from this Web site that led you to that place. It will be fixed if deemed undesirable for this Web site's content. The church reserves the right to link to sites that may be different from your views, but it does not want non-Christian sites that are offensive to good taste or are encouraging non-Christian behavior. |
| Why do some of the items
that another person sees on his or her computer are not shown on
mine or the layout looks different?
This could be for a
number of reasons. You may have a different operating system or an
older or newer computer than another person. Your resolution may be different. Your
computer may have a different Internet Service Provider that operates
differently than another person's computer. Your computer may have different programs than
someone else. This program works best with Microsoft programs and
Windows operating systems and works best with MS Internet
Explorer. Netscape, especially if it is an older version, will not
pick up some of the elements that may be used on this site.

|
| Why are there so
many links to other sites? It is the attempt of
this Web site to give as many possibilities as can be found to help
everyone who looks at the site to easily find something that is useful to
him or her. You may
have needed only to use a few of the links. Others may want to
investigate a variety of things. You may have a need for a different
link in your future. The site is new and expanding so some things
will be taken away or altered, and new things may be added. Christ
has demanded that we reach as many people as possible not just the
present church membership. That is the goal of this site.

|
| Why would a church want a Web site
that has something besides its own church's events and services or
link to sites that expresses ideas that may not be totally in line with
its own church's
doctrine or traditions? Because Christ himself
commanded his apostles to "go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you." We, as disciples, have to continue this for He also said,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me." If we believe in the triune God,
then how we worship Him is only the means we allow Him to work within
us.
Whatever way we can reach people to know what Christ told his followers,
we have to try. The important thing to remember is that the Church is in Christ.

|
| I
have a question that isn't listed. Whom do I contact?
You can first e-mail the Web
administrator. If it is a question
that the webmaster can't answer, surely Christ will help lead the
webmaster in the direction to find it. If it is a question
that needs to be included, it will added to the list.
