"In 1998, suicide was the eighth leading cause of death for all American, the third leading cause of death for those aged 15-24, and the second leading killer in the college population." Check out the Ulifeline Website designed to prevent college students from committing suicide. If you or someone you knows has a question about the problems of depression, this site is worth looking at regardless of age. Just click on the underlined words above. Also, look at Lutheran Hour Ministries site for understanding depression and other problems. If you experience extreme anxiety or have panic attacks, click here to read more about this problem. You are not alone. If someone you know has this problem, read the information on site about this very common but misunderstood disorder. The Anxiety Disorders Association of America also has an excellent site to help those who have or those who have to care for people with extreme disorders. If you live in the community of Redeemer Lutheran Church, you may want to take advantage of the Stephen Ministry which is available to non-members as well as members of Redeemer.	If you are faced with Alzheimer's Disease What can you do? Where can you go for help? As the aging population grows so does the problems such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementia related diseases. Not only the person who has the disease suffers, but also the caregivers have frustrations and anxieties with which they must learn to handle. One source of help is the Family Caregivers Alliance Clearinghouse. You can find helpful suggestions from another site if you are one of those who is facing this problem. One of the best is the June 6, 2003, for a program by Carolyn Koons called Navigating the Rapids of Life. This can be purchased on cassette or CD at Family.org Website. There are many links on it to help those who may be having problems or have questions such as "Why is there Pain and Suffering"? This website has multiple language choices for many of its sites.
