Morning breaks in the Mountains and lights the beautiful world that God created

Mountain Home is located in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains, a place that people visit or relocate for its beauty and slow pace for living.  Because it has four distinct seasons with mild winters, it is attractive to many types of people.  There are two large Corps of Engineer lakes, Bull Shoals Lake and Lake Norfork, and three Scene from the Buffalo River National River well-known rivers, the White River and North Fork River-both famous for their outstanding trout fishing, and the National Buffalo River, which not only has good smallmouth fishing, but also is blessed with outstanding scenic bluffs and an abundance of wildlife for canoe enthusiasts, hikers, photography experts, birdwatchers, or just plain nature loving folks.  Nature, recreation, small town values are all a part of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

After the building of the dams in the area in the 1940's and 1950's, many people came to the area for its great fishing and scenic beauty.  The area was literally a natural  for the tourist trying to find a way to enjoy nature and have fun at the same time.  The area has never become a crowded place that is typical of some other tourist destinations.  It has maintained its beauty even with tourism playing a big role in the economy.  Because you may want to have a church to attend while vacationing in the area, Redeemer offers you an invitation to come to our church community for worship or other activities.  The hospitality is as great as the scenery and beauty of the area. You can find out more about the times for worship and other things happening by using the main link buttons above.

Retirement in Mountain Home, Arkansas is great!       Soon after people discovered the beauty and slow paced life in the Ozarks, many began to move to the area in the 1960's and 1970's for retirement. Those who lived in the northern states where the winters are much harsher and the cities had grown into metropolis centers found that this is an excellent choice for enjoying their senior years.  Many of those retirees were from Lutheran backgrounds so it was at that time that the Redeemer community began to form a church home.

In the 1980's people from California and the large cities in the North and the South, discovered that the area had not only beauty but was a safe place to raise children in a pleasant environment.  The taxes are much lower than the large cities and the climate is free of the pollution that has settled into the metropolitan areas.  Small businesses are to this day continuing to find the area an excellent place to relocate.  There are excellent opportunities to tap into the skilled senior population and the students graduating from the local campus of ASUMH, and the cost of real estate for their endeavors is much lower.  Below there are pictures to help you find out more about the area. Listen to the music as you enjoy the pictures downloading for viewing.

Redeemer offers youth and teens opportunities to participate in sharing the Word of God       Redeemer has grown over the years because of its acceptance of the variety of new people who have moved here. The diversity of backgrounds of those who move to the area allow people to serve in the many different types of ministries offered to the congregation.  At the present time, there are many programs that offer all people interesting things to do or a helping hand, if needed.  This approach has opened up a new phase in the chapter of the Redeemer church community.  There has been a conscious effort to extend the youth programs and services to meet the needs of the people who want to be a permanent part of the Redeemer church community.
