Scenic Beauty Dominates the Area All Year
There are four distinct seasons in the Ozarks, but the winters tend to be mild with only occasional snowfalls. Each season has its own beauty and offers a chance to enjoy the wonderful outdoor recreation in the area. |

Life in the Ozarks People, who live in the area, tend to find their enjoyment in the outdoor recreations of boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, and other outdoor activities. However, there is an outstanging college, ASUMH, which offers classes as well as a new auditorium where some first class entertainment has been scheduled. Local events such as Turkey Trot in the fall, July 4th celebrations, and local school sports and activities are popular, too. Although a small town atmosphere is present, there are many amenities such as franchise outlets and restaurants, a first class hospital, and many church denominations as well. Property taxes are lower compared to many large cities, crime rate is minimal, and people are friendly and helpful. In the summer, there is music on the square, year around parades, verterans' memorial downtown, lots of social clubs, and antique car shows, too. There is a little bit of "Mayberry" for everyone to enjoy, yet we are only a couple hours from Branson and Springfield, MO, where there are malls and outlets and tourist entertain. |
