Redeemer Offers These Ministries:

STEPHEN MINISTRY

Redeemer has trained Stephen Ministers to help whenever and wherever the need arises for one-on-one caring support for those who are experiencing divorce, grief, hospitalizations, discouragement and other life difficulties.

ALTAR GUILD

This is a group of appointed ladies whose purpose is to assist the pastors by doing the work preparatory to church service and after the church services in order that the chancel is in proper readiness.  

                             CHEER CLUB

This is a ladies' volunteer workshop that spreads cheer to the sick and shut-in.  We make and tie quilts, roll bandages for the World Relief, etc.  We also make booklets for shut-ins, the hospitalized, and the bereaved.  This group meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 11 am.  

Pastor Gadbaw conducts a visitation training class on Monday at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm for people who want to share their faith.

BRAILLE CENTER

 

We invite any one, who is interested in learning the process of making Braille Books to come on Thursday from 9 am to noon and from 1-4 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  This is an important mission to share the light of God's Word with those who have visual impairments.  We will teach this process.  You do not have to know how to read Braille. This is a very rewarding service to a much needed group of people who want to Word of God in their live

PRAYER GROUP

This group meets in the nursery at 1 pm on Friday for an hour of prayer.  We pray for individuals, our church, our community and world situations.  

PRAYER CHAIN 

James 5:6 tells us, "The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects."  This group is a telephone ministry.  Participants pray, in their own homes, for the prayer requests received on attendance cards.  All requests are confidential. Below you can request special prayers of need or thanksgiving.

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS

If you are in need of a prayer, this link leads to f form that you may ask the pastor directly to pray for you or someone you love or who needs a pray.  

LADIES GUILD

 This group is open to all ladies and participates quarterly in the International Women's Missionary League (LWML) program and projects.  

VESPERS SOCIETY

This organization is open to all women of the congregation.  Affiliated with LWML, the projects are devotions, missions, and service.  Meeting time is third Monday of each month (except December) at 7:00 pm.

THRIVENT FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS 

(formerly AAL and Lutheran Brotherhood)

 

Thrivent Financial's general purpose is to enable Lutherans and their families to pursue quality living through financial security and volunteer service. It creates and supports programs that help meet the social, educational, and financial needs of its members of their communities.  This group meets the first Sunday of each month at 12 noon in the church.  

Redeemer has a very active youth ministry. There are a number of groups for all ages. A basketball program is offered after school, and craft activities are scheduled at various times of the year.  For details and offerings contact Jeremy Hetzel, Director of Youth and Family Ministry. REDEEMER'S LIBRARY

  

   Our library has many Bible study helps, commentaries, concordances, Christian biographies, and religious reading material for adults and children.  The entire Bible is available on audio tapes.  There is also a selection of video tapes that can be checked out for use at home.  The library is a convenient service of our congregation for you and your friends.  

 

OTHER SERVICE MINISTRIES
  • Greeters--These people serve as greeters for the worship services.  All you need is a smiling face with a cheery "Hello" and your rewards are many.

  • Saturday Receptionists--work on Saturdays in the office.

  • Tellers--Help with taking care of the monies collected.

  • Ushers--Help with the Worship Services, handing out literature, collection offerings, ushering for communion.

  • Bus Drivers--Pick up those who live in nursing homes or those who have no way to get church without this assistance.

AUDIO AND VIDEO TAPE MINISTRY

Cassette tapes of sermons and video tapes of services and special events are available in the church office.  Also, there are tape players and video cassette recorders available if you do not have one of your own.
